Varis Likitanusorn

Varis Likitanusorn is a multifaceted individual whose
work spans music, alternative therapy, literature, and
cultural studies. He is recognized as an alternative
music therapist, musician, writer, and academic. Varis
co-founded the Text and Title Creative Writing Studio
and Creative Agency, contributing significantly to the
creative landscape.
In the realm of music, Varis has a profound interest in
Persian musical traditions. He specializes in playing the
setar, a traditional Persian string instrument, and
integrates its melodies into his therapeutic practices. His
approach to alternative music therapy includes the use of
Himalayan singing bowls, employing their sounds and
vibrations to promote healing and well-being.
Varis is also a co-founder of PLACEBo CLUB, a space dedicated to alternative healing methods. At PLACEBo CLUB, he leads sessions such as "Himalayan Singing Bowl Sound and Vibration Healing," utilizing the unique sounds of the singing bowls to facilitate mental and physical wellness.
Beyond his musical and therapeutic endeavors, Varis has made significant contributions to literature and translation. He has translated works by international authors, including "The Land of the Last Whales" by Weng Choy Lee and "Elsewhere, Within Here" by Trinh T. Minh-ha, making these texts accessible to a broader audience.
