Jiao Jian, PhD in Ethnomusicology. She is a member of Pop Music Association (under the China Musicians Association), as well as a member of ICTM, IASPM and ISARS. She is currently a lecturer in the Musicology Department of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, teaching courses such as "World Music", "Chinese Traditional Music", " Introduction to Musicology", etc. Her main research areas include contemporary shaman culture and world music.
