This new creative work, titled "Symphony for Home Zoo," is designed with three primary objectives in mind: 1) to study the method of composing program music, 2) to present an innovative approach to symphonic composition inspired by a home zoo, and 3) to contribute new knowledge to the academic field of music composition. The composition draws its inspiration from the private zoo located within the residence of Khun Kittipong Jaruthanin. This unique home zoo, which features a variety of rare animal species and is open to the public by prior arrangement, provided the composer with a rich source of creative material. The experience of visiting this zoo, observing the animals, and immersing in the environment was the foundation for the musical themes and motifs that characterize the symphony.

This symphony, composed for orchestra, is structured in the sonata form, a classical framework that allows for exploring of contrasting themes and their development. The composition spans approximately 8 minutes and demonstrates a blend of Western musical techniques, incorporating a wide array of melodic lines, rhythmic patterns, timbral colours, and harmonic textures. The work highlights the use of counterpoint layering, which involves weaving multiple independent melodies together to create a rich intricate music tapestry. This approach emphasizes the horizontal independence of each melodic line while allowing for a more flexible interpretation of vertical harmony. By including these components, the composition seeks to not just encapsulate the spirit of the animals and the surroundings in the home zoo but also to immerse the listener in a diverse and immersive musical experience.

This study contributes to academic discourse by demonstrating how environmental and experiential factors can translated into musical expression, providing fresh perspectives on the composition process. Additionally, the dissemination of this symphony provides an opportunity to share these ideas with the wider musical community, inviting further exploration and discussion on the relationship between music, nature, and creativity.
