Program Note:

Lila-Wadi (ลีลาวดี) is Mahakit Mahaniranon's work. Composition for ensemble that combines electronic music, traditional Thai music, drum sets, cello and visual-art. The idea is to blend both traditional and modern cultures/sounds in a way that is both respectful and developed.

The composition is led by electronic sounds and expands the scope of development to the sounds of other instruments which focuses on tone/colour and timbre as well as the location of the sound that occurs. Sometimes listeners may encounter melodies that have Thai characteristics and sounds that are characterized by noise.
