Adrian Theiß - Hybrid Structures 10’ (or more)

In his piece Hybrid Structures, composer-performer Adrian Thieß develops a dialogue between a trumpet and a modular synthesizer. The piece explores the relationship between analog and digital soundscapes, creating a dynamic interplay that transforms different sonic worlds into a layered tapestry of various auditory textures.

Sarah Nemtsov - Kammer (2020) 6’

"Kammer" is a re-instrumentation and re-composition of "Zimmer IV" from 2019. Both pieces exist independently of each other. However, "Zimmer IV" can only be conceived in the context of "Zimmer I-III" (2013) - in the layering for 12 musicians. "Kammer" can stand on its own. While it is partly related to "Zimmer IV" in terms of musical material, it is an independent composition and was specifically designed and composed for the evening "Roses for my funeral" (Decoder Ensemble/DLF Forum for New Music 2020).

Fredrik Högberg - PlastMusikk 4’

Plastic Music for clarinet and tape is what the composer calls ‘recycled’ music. ‘The piece uses recycled parts of earlier compositions as well as bits that have been discarded or shelved. Environmentally friendly music in which the material’s limitations ensure thematic and timbral unity. Plastic Music is subject to continuous development and exists in versions for various different combinations of instruments.’

Franz Rieks - nochmal (2023) 12’

this artwork was created as ritual and "the last production" of the prestigious rosbaud-studio (swr baden-baden), promoted by the hfg, new music institute ka, and swr. while the symphony orchestras & ensembles worked in the studio with stravinsky, stockhausen, messiaen etc, and the sound editors above them, they played table tennis in the tuning backhall. at the creation of "nochmal." (german. english transl. "again"), the studio was pure and beautiful, with untouchable 70s design and architecture, empty of humans, raccoons living in the walls & ceilings. then that ghost production happened, starting with visitations of the building, with the original sound engineer. the studio is the last building (at the end) on the radio-television-hill. the forest around the studio was rainy in may. in december 2023 when the film & audio production took place, a ghost group came into the building. heavy rain fell down again. weeks after that, the teardown took place, total wrecking of the stones, marble and gold of that institution. underneath, private real estate happens today. ~ f.r.
